CEO, Chief Executive Officer
Landscape Designer
Chip Nolan
Chip Nolan is the owner and CEO of Skytop Landscaping LLC, a company he formally established in 2011. Prior to that date, he had been involved in the landscaping business all through high school and college, mowing lawns and completing landscape design projects to a variety of customers. He holds a BS degree from Monmouth University, and has taken a number of courses in landscape design methods, hardscape design, material selection and advanced landscape management. In his spare time, he is an active surfer and runner. He is married, and he and his wife Lindsey have a young daughter.
His responsibilities with Skytop Landscaping include overall company management, working with a variety of customers, daily staff management, repair of landscape equipment, being the lead person in the bidding process for landscape, hardscape, firewood and snow removal projects and providing daily customer service.

Dr. Harold J. Nolan, Jr.
Harold J. Nolan, Jr., Ph.D., MBA has served as the Business Administrator/CFO for Skytop Landscaping since its inception in 2011. His experiences have included serving over forty years as a tenured full professor, department chair and associate dean of university Business Schools, as well as an equal amount of time as Director of Recreation, Parks and Conservation in various municipal government agencies. This work has included serving as a project manager in the construction and renovation of over twenty parks, athletic facilities, a marina, alpine ski facility, and coastal beach operations. This work has included multi-million dollar capital and operating projects. He has also has had responsibility for large scale operating budgets, human resource responsibilities of large departments, and bidding and securing outdoor operating materials and equipment. He and wife Janet have been married for over fifty years, and have four grown children and seven grandchildren.
Dr. Nolans work with Skytop Landscaping includes weekly payroll responsibilities, insurance management, purchasing, state and federal business and sales tax, contracts, and general business operations. He retired from his work in higher education and government positions in 2017 to work full-time with Skytop Landscaping as the company has continued to grow.
Hardscape Designer
Jeff Stearns
Jeff Stearns is the Manager of the Hardscape Division of Skytop Landscaping. He has been in the landscape profession for over three decades, and has spent much of that time in the design of custom built hardscape projects, along with expertise in landscape design. Formally employed by Toll Brothers Construction Co. as a manager in their landscape division, he has been the project manager of many award-winning hardscape projects in their model homes and multiple housing developments within the region. Regardless of project size, he and his crew at Skytop Landscaping work hard to make each project special. A father of three grown children, he enjoys relaxing around his home fire pit, spending time with his family and playing golf.
Jeff brings many years of experience to the Skytop team, including expertise in computer based hardscape designs, along with supervising his team of hardscape staff. He has taken a number of courses in hardscape design and material selection, and continues to stay on the cutting edge of the innovations that continue to develop within the hardscape industry.
